a little info on my chambering.
i read my pupilage at the chamber of Mrs. Azman sazira & Pertners, under the guidance of Mr. Azman Jaacob, a very humble and knowledgeable person, on 06 February 2007. that means i finished my chambering on 06 November 2007 (exactly 9 months). errr ... Fairuz was the responsible guy who brought me there and introduce me with the firm (he was the legal assistance there at that moment).
after fulfilling my 9 months, i submited my Form 6,7 & 8 at RKK and been told by the clark that the earliest date available for long call was on early March 2008... which means i have to wait for another 4 months!!! then one friend of mine suggested that to get earlier date, i can apply to make a long call at other High Court. hmm quite a good suggestion i thought. so without getting others opinion, i simply apply to JB's Hight Court. after several weeks, i had been inform that my long call's date was 21.01.2008... i feel happy for that earlier date ..... but then the problems come....
one morning, a lady call me ... i naver heard about the voice ... introduce herself as nurhayati ... (Ayatt) ... hmm when she start to talk about long call at jb, i feel litle nervous ... her long call would be heard same day as mine ... and after she hang up, i realise that i was in ral trouble ... it seems that i was chosing the wrong place to do my ong call ... huhu ... i really hope to change it back to KL, even i had to wait it longger.
hmmm the procedure at jb was totally different from practice in KL. they make the ceremony more grand... (means more money of course) ... hmm we, as the pupils had to book invitation card, same as "kad kawin" tu. then the card had to be served personally to all judges including magistrates and PKP. not to forget also to several closed friend lawyers, to all members of the JB's bar and to our mover of course.
the other difference is that, there should be one mover for one pupil, and the mover must be a senior lawyer, and know to the judge. beside, we have to consult or known to our mover before the petition day, otherwise, he will not move our petition. wargh ... scary to heat. in kl, the procedure is much much simpler. i heard that many pupil just meet the mover 15 minute before the call and it is normal for one mover to move many pupils. but what to do ... orang kata, masuk kandang kambing kena ler mengembik... iye dok?
at the begining, cuak la gak ... but so thanks to yatt for help me out ... thanks yatt ... thanks (10x) ... she was doing everythings ... can say nearly 90% ... and i cant imagine what will happen if she was not around. then i went back to Jb for 2 days before long call to setle averything... and finally the time had come.
on that day, Alhamdulillah, semuanya berjalan dengan lancarnya... waaaah happy gak, bleh jadi lawyer gak akhirnya hehe...
